Why You Should Separate Search & Content Network Campaigns Inside Google Adwords
In this video, I discuss the importance of separating search and content network campaigns for online marketers who use Google’s advertising platform Adwords.
Many people think the content network is useless because they have lost money using it in the past. However, the content network should be treated totally different from the search network.
I have had the majority of my success using the content network because I have invested the time necessary to understand the difference between the search network and the content network.
Google treats them differently for a number of reasons. Check out the video for more.

Great stuff Tommie! Search and content network are defintely to different animals. Prior to watching your videos I had no clue what I was doing. I’m going to do more testing with video and image ads. I see a lot of opportunity with them and think they are under-utilized. Keep it up bro!
Sam, thanks for stopping by and thanks for the encouragement!
You will still need to find low competition keywords to do well. Placement targeting works like gang busters if you research your market well enough.
Good luck!
I really like your approach to explaining the difference between Content network and Search. You say it in a way that finally makes sense!
