In this audio, I discuss the importance of Placement Targeting research for your Google Adwords Display (Content) Network campaigns.

In my opinion, placement research is sometimes more important than doing keyword research in order to create highly effective Adwords Display Network campaigns.

In a previous post on this site, I discussed why you should separate search network and display network campaigns from one another when running pay per click marketing campaigns with Google Adwords.

This audio is an extension of that post and I also plan to add more content on this blog pertaining to this subject because I have been receiving a number of requests for people who really want to find out more about how to become more successful advertising on the display network.

    You are not alone when it comes to this subject. Many Adwords advertisers underestimate the power of the Content Network and write it off as being no good.

    I can tell you from experience that the Content Network on Google Adwords and Placement Targeting is the secret weapon nobody talks about that can help you use Adwords like back in the old days when clicks were cheap and competition was low.

    That is why I love it. There is hardly any competition right now, so I have been exploiting it for quite some time.

  3. Another great (free) tool is Google’s Ad Planner tool (http://adplanner.google.com). Not only does it help you find placements but it also helps you take a peek into how Google categorizes the sites in the content network. **Tip, under ranking method, choose composition index for a more refined search.

    Most people have no clue that it exists and the ones that do have no clue how to use it.
