I married her about 4 years ago.

At first, she made it really hard for me to understand her. Basically, she was taking my money and giving me nothing in return. It was her way of telling me I had to pay my dues to gain her loyalty to what I so desperately wanted from her.

Then one day, it happened. She started being kind to me and that’s when I feel in love.

We started having some insanely wonderful days together. She was giving me all I wanted and more. As a matter of fact, she had so much to give that I couldn’t keep up with all she had to offer.

So I decided to marry her and engulf myself in everything she was about. I wanted to know everything there was to know about her because our relationship was producing some outstanding results.

And for nearly two years, we had a great marriage. I made her happy and she made me happy. She made me very, very happy. I remember days waking up to check with her and I would be blown away at how lucky I was to have her in my life.

Then one dreaded day in December 2009, she pushed me out. With no explanation, no warning, no nothing. She wanted me gone and I was devastated.

Since things had been going so great, I had to figure out a way to fix things. Eventually I would figure out a way to get back in her good graces, only to be pushed out again. That happened several times before I said enough is enough.

So I started seeing others and I quickly found out that there were plenty of them who wanted to give me what I needed. And they didn’t make it nearly has hard as she did.

We still talk from time to time though. But things are different now because I realized that I didn’t need her as much as I thought I did.

So after many months going back and forth with her and trying to play her games so I could still get what I needed from her, I have decided to move on with my life.

I will still communicate with her on a regular basis because we are tied to each other through other relationships, but no longer will I try so hard to be in her life.

For all the reasons stated above, I’m no longer going to use Google’s name in reference to my expertise. I’m so much more than a Google Adwords expert thanks to her.

Because she pushed me out and forced me to look for alternatives, it made me learn so much more and allowed me to become the man I am today.

So thanks Google for pushing me in the direction I’m going today.

I know you are thinking:

What The Hell Is Bidphobia?

Bidphobia is a term I coined that describes the fear people have when buying Content-Based Ads for Online Advertising to get web traffic to their websites, affiliate links, etc.

Whether it’s Media Buying, Google Content (Display) Network, Facebook Ads, Plenty Of Fish, Pay Per View, etc., being able to bid high enough to get impressions for your ads is critical during the data gathering stage.

When it comes to advertising that is based around content, getting little to no impressions for your ads equals DOOMED FOR FAILURE.

Without impressions, there is ZERO chance for getting people to click your ads. No clicks on your ads means ZERO chance of getting your offer seen by your target audience. And of course, we know what happens in the end: FAILURE.

Also, the most important factor in the beginning of any traffic buying campaign is data gathering. This critical information is highly necessary in order to optimize your campaigns for performance and profitability over time.

When you are afraid to bid high enough, you are basically setting yourself up for failure almost every time. You have to be willing to get the impressions to be seen in order to get the data you need to determine if you can make a profit.

Is there a cure for Bidphobia?

Of course there’s a cure! But it will only work for those that are willing to take the necessary steps.

If you are too afraid to bid high enough to get your ads showing, traffic buying is probably not for you.

On the other hand, if you understand the importance of taking the steps you need to take you are a great candidate for becoming a successful traffic buying advertiser.

Stay tuned for more on this subject! If you like what you read so far, I got some stuff you are going to love.

This is a question I get asked all the time!

Since I consider myself an Expert on this subject, whenever I meet new people I let them know what I do by summarizing my strengths.

I always do my best to explain it as best as I can because usually the person asking this question doesn’t have a clue about Google Adwords and Pay Per Click marketing.

I also get this question from people who do understand Pay Per Click marketing, but think it is all related to the results they see when they do a Google search.

Well, what better way to explain it than let the big “G” do the work for me.

Here is a short video that I found as a reference for one of my recent potential customers. He said this video made “perfect sense” and that he “totally got it” after watching it.

Please leave comments and/or feedback.

Greg Cesar is not the typical guru. He actually practices what he teaches and in this interview I ask him for some advice that I think anyone who is trying to run a successful online business should take note of.

Be sure to pay attention because Greg gives me some excellent advice! And as always, comments and feedback are welcome.

In this audio, I discuss the importance of Placement Targeting research for your Google Adwords Content Network campaigns.

In my opinion, placement research is sometimes more important than doing keyword research in order to create highly effective Adwords Content Network campaigns.

In a previous post on this site, I discussed why you should separate search network and content network campaigns from one another when running pay per click marketing campaigns with Google Adwords. This audio is an extension of that post and I also plan to add more content on this blog pertaining to this subject because I have been receiving a number of requests for people who really want to find out more about how to become more successful advertising on the content network.

I also discuss two tools on this audio to help you with placement targeting research. One is called <strike>Content Bully</strike> (Placement Intelligence is now my favorite paid tool!) and the other one is Adsense Finder (free tool).

I encourage you to leave any questions or comments to let me know how you feel about this information and/or if you want more about this subject.

If you really want to optimize your ppc campaigns with Google Adwords, then you should learn how to use this tool.

It works great for me on my Adwords content network campaigns. If you advertise on the content network, you can use this tool to increase your number of conversions and lower your cost per click. You can basically tell Google how much you are willing to pay per conversion or sale, and their system will try to get you the most clicks possible to increase the chances of you getting conversions.

Many people think the content network is useless because they have lost money using it in the past. However, the content network should be treated totally different from the search network.

I have had the majority of my success using the content network because I have invested the time necessary to understand the difference between the search network and the content network.

Google treats them differently for a number of reasons. Check out the video for more.
